The Spring Congress may decide:
1Legalize pepper spray
4violence or/and sexual abuse, according to WHO (World Health Organisation)
5Each year, over 1.6 million people, worldwide, lose their lives to violence. Violence is
6among the leading causes of death for people aged 15–44 years worldwide, accounting
7for 14 pct of deaths among men and 7 pct of deaths among women.
- 335 pct of all women in the world have at some point during their life, been subjected to
11with the risk of getting punished if she choose to use it for defending herself.
12Pepper spray is not directly dangerous, and can not be used as weapon for killing.
13There have been cases of women using hair spray instead of pepper spray, for the
14reason that it is legal to carry around, even though it can give permanent injuries,
15opposite pepper spray, which only gives temporary injuries.
- 10Women from all around the world still walks around with a pepper spray in their handbag,
19Criminals are criminals, and if they want to use pepper spray as a weapon, they don't
20care if it legalized to carry around.
21Liberalism is about freedom and the people's right to take care of themselves.
- 17Everyone have the right to defend themselves against abuse and violence without getting
23Lymec calls for:
25against criminality, especially violence, abuse and rapes.
26Countries to legalize the possibility of distribution pepper spray in stores within the
27country, yet with a high level of security.
- 24Countries to legalize pepper spray to be carried in public spaces to be used as a defence
